Rick Wheeler

Rick Wheeler is a Senior Financial Advisor for Summit, working in the Investments division.  Rick uses creative solutions and strategies to help companies pursue their investment objectives.  Rick has a proven track record of high-quality client advisement.  As a highly motivated and principled leader who has a unique ability for connecting people, Rick focuses on taking his clients to the next level in designing and administering their personal and companies’ benefits.  In addition to holding his Series 7 General Securities registrations, and the Series 66 Uniform Securities Agent Combined State Law, Rick is licensed to provide Life, Accident, and Health Insurance.  

Rick’s aptitude in investments, employee benefits, and insurance spans a multitude of industries.  He has extensive experience in the financial services industry and works with organizations of all sizes to help them pursue their objectives. His mission is to be a trusted advisor who takes the stress out of the planning process.

Rick believes that relationships are key. He’s passionate about being an advocate and resource for his clients. He utilizes a team-based approach with other advisors while building trust and collaboration. By identifying potential financial and personal obstacles and proposing solutions, he connects his clients with the right team members and outcomes to solve any issues.  Connecting the right team members to create results for clients is one of the most highly rewarding aspects of what he does. Rick consistently provides advice through a process-driven approach and seeks what is best for his clients, their companies, and their needs, believing that process is more important than product.

First and foremost, Rick is devoted to his faith, his family, and to helping others.  Rick met his wife, Mindy, at Oklahoma Baptist University where Rick was a student athlete.  They have been happily married for over 35 years and are blessed with two sons.  A movie buff, Rick enjoys watching and discussing film with his older son Garrett.  He keeps fit and loves the outdoors while avidly playing tennis with his younger son Logan. 

Having been with Summit for over 12 years, he attests to the professionalism and caring of the organization and individuals.  Rick states that he looks forward to spending the next 20 years helping his coworkers, partners, and clients reach their Summit!
