Executive Vice President, Employee Benefits

David Fleet began his career in the Insurance Industry with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 1986. As an independent agent for over 2 decades he joined forces with Summit’s Group Benefits Division in their Oklahoma City office in October of 2017.

In his role as Employee Benefits Consultant for Summit, David is primarily responsible for the execution of new and the retention of existing business clients. His focus is to consult and advise in a proactive manner and to provide innovative solutions for a broad spectrum of needs. To keep up with the constantly-changing environment of Employee Benefits, he is continuously studying the available markets for cutting-edge programs for a client base that varies in size and industry. David’s experience with both fully-insured and self-funded health programs has created a knowledge base that his clients can rely comfortably on. He is well-versed in the analysis and placement of benefit programs that are customized to fit client financial goals, claim analysis and risk assessment with an emphasis on pharmacy claims. Because of his approach to developing long-term strategic benefit plans for his clients, along with his exceptional relationship with major carrier/vendor markets, he is considered by many to be a valued partner and advisor.

David is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He has received Registered Health Underwriters, (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant, (REBC) designations as well. He is actively involved in his community, and has served on the board of the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, is an active member of Downtown Rotary – Club 29, a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City and active in several industry associations. David lives in Oklahoma City and has one son and two daughters. In his spare time, he loves spending time at his lake house with family and friends.
